Scan gun displaying, Transmission failed?

Message:"Transmission Failed To Retry, Move Closer And Press Enter"

Meaning: The terminal has tried 10 times to get its message through to the Base Station with no success. Could be result of bad radio in base or terminal. Could be the operator has gone out of range of the base-if so, move closer there are too many terminals competing for radio time on one base station.

• Check the Channel and Terminal ID

First check the channel and terminal ID on the scan gun currently being used.

                                                                                       (Channel:3 refers to Base 3 and Term ID refers to the scan gun itself.) 

Channel and Term ID will vary by area, make sure the channel matches the base and that the term ID does not match with another scan gun.
If the Channel does not match the base that it is supposed to be paired to, you follow these steps to change the Channel and term ID.

• With the terminal on, press any key or F1 to bring up the mode Menu.
• With the terminal displaying the Mode Menu, press the terminal's 2 key to select Setup.
• With the terminal displaying the RF Terminal Setup menu, press the terminal's 1 key to select RF Configurations.

Once you're in the RF Configurations menu press 1 to change RF Channel make sure to match the base you intend to pair with. Then press 2 to change the Terminal ID, A base can't have 2 scan guns with the same terminal ID. When finished selecting channel and term ID press 0 twice to exit to the main Menu.
