Scan gun displaying, Waiting on Host Prompt?

**Message: "Waiting on Host Prompt"

Meaning:**
Problem is between Host computer and Base station. Check to see if host application is running. Check serial parameters and eliminate any extension cables. Run the Demo program. Try another COM port or another computer.

• Check the Channel and Terminal ID

First check the channel and terminal ID on the scan gun currently being used.

                                                                                       (Channel:3 refers to Base 3 and Term ID refers to the scan gun itself.)

• Make sure that Wireless Inventory running, closing the window will close the program. It does not run in the background.

• Check the COM port on Wireless Inventory, it should match the COM in which the Base Tower is connected to. You can verify this in control panel under Ports(COMS & LPT). If it doesn't select the correct COM port on Wireless Inventory, click save. ( Note: Some users may not have access to the Control Panel, in which case please Submit a ticket.)  

• With any changes made to Wireless Inventory you will need to restart the computer/terminal. Make sure you know the username and password before restarting.
